Working under a Maintenance Supervisor, the candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, as well as preventive and routine maintenance.

*Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule required*

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
• Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts
• Fabricating parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
• Assembling machinery prior to installation
• Operating machinery tools to fabricate parts
• Rigging and handling; Bearing, seals and packing; Centering and setting to elevation; Vibration analysis; Leveling and aligning
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications; CMMS (MP2)
• Providing mechanical knowledge, capability and expertise

Type of Machinery and Equipment:

Conveyors; Elevators; Gear boxes; Industrial and stationary engines; Pumps and compressors; Rolling elements; Hoists and other lifting devices; Rock crushers; Grinders; Welding equipment, Gas and air dryers; lathes and other machining tools; Power tools; Fans and blowers; Hydraulic systems; Press bakes and metalworking equipment.
 

Qualifications/Skills:

• Certified Journeyman with a minimum of 4 years hands-on work experience in a manufacturing setting with a proven track record of measurable results
• Experience in setting up new production equipment, optimizing and enhancing existing equipment
• Basic, conceptual design skills, knowledge of Auto CAD is an asset
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), knowledge of MP2 is an asset
• Excellent organization and analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
